
Dr. James Lloyd has been in practice for over sixteen years in the Memorial area. He is a graduate of South West Texas State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston and subsequently a Masters degree in Advanced General Dentistry from the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio. Dr. Lloyd has maintained close ties with his alma mater and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UTDB, a part-time position he has held for over ten years.
Dr. Lloyd has completed a preceptorship in Dental Implants and obtained fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. His current memberships include the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been recognized with numerous awards including the Leadership Award in Teaching.
Dr. Lloyd is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time with his three sons, David, Mark, and James, and his wife Lisa.

Dr. Amy Edgemon recently joined Dr. Lloyd in practice at his Hedwig Village office after having studied under him at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Edgemon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Edgemon holds active memberships in the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. She has received several awards in clinical achievement, including the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Pre-Doctoral Achievement Award and the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry Award.
Dr. Edgemon is also an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys camping, gardening, and other outdoor activities. She participated in her first BP MS150 ride in 2008 and is looking forward to the 2009 cycling challenge. Dr. Edgemon has participated in several missions and plans to continue to use dentistry as an avenue of service in the future.
